Jim Cooper currently serves as a Commercial Broker for Cypressbrook Company where he is responsible for generating and executing commercial real estate opportunities for office and industrial clients. Prior to joining the Cypressbrook team, Jim worked for Big City Properties where he solicited and executed direct residential and commercial REO listings for Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, HUD and several area banks. Prior to that, Jim honed his real estate and sale skills as business development representative at First American Title Company in Houston. There his responsibilities included increasing sales of title insurance by providing training, support and consultation to both commercial and residential agents, developers, financiers, and public officials. Before his tenure in the title industry, Jim served as the vice president business development as well as project manager for Stainback Public/Private Real Estate, LLC, a national consulting and development management company. His purpose there was assisting government, university, and private developers to structure and implement public/private real estate partnerships optimizing the value of underutilized real estate assets. Earlier in his career, Jim honed his business development and operations skills at RMT Consulting and Engineering (previously known as Jones and Neuse Inc.) based in Houston, Texas. He worked there for fifteen (15) years serving initially as a regional sales representative and eventually stockholder and division director for the company which provided air emissions testing programs to petro-chemical companies throughout the southwest United States. Mr. Cooper attended Lamar University and is fully licensed to practice real estate as prescribed by the Texas Real Estate Commission.
